Traveling with kids can be an exciting and rewarding experience, and if you're looking for a family-friendly destination, St. Louis should be at the top of your list. Nestled along the banks of the mighty Mississippi River, this vibrant city in Missouri offers a grab-bag of attractions, activities, and experiences that are sure to delight both you and your kids. From iconic landmarks to interactive museums and outdoor adventures, St. Louis has it all. So, pack your bags, grab the kids, and get ready for an unforgettable family adventure!

Gateway Arch and Riverfront:

The iconic Gateway Arch is a must-see even if you just view it from below. This monumental stainless- steel structure offers breathtaking views of the city. You can take a tram ride to the top for some great panoramic views. Even though it's been a few years since I rode to the top of the Arch, I do remember the experience well. The newly-renovated riverfront is worth exploring afterward! You can enjoy a leisurely stroll, rent bikes, or take a riverboat cruise.

City Museum:

Prepare to be amazed at the City Museum, a one-of-a-kind attraction that blends art, architecture, and imagination. My first time visiting this 600,000 square foot playground was just this past weekend with my grandsons (ages 4 and 7). This place is made entirely from repurposed materials. There are endless opportunities for exploration and adventure. Kids can crawl through tunnels, climb towering structures, slide down slides, and

discover hidden passageways. It's a paradise for little explorers and a guaranteed source of fun for the whole family.

St. Louis Zoo:

Renowned as one of the best zoos in the country, the St. Louis Zoo is a must-visit destination for families. It's a budget-friendly option because it's free to enter. With over

18,000 animals representing 700 species, there's no shortage of fascinating creatures to discover. The zoo offers interactive exhibits, educational programs, and even a children's zoo where kids can get up close and personal with farm animals. Why not pack a picnic and have lunch in Forest Park where the zoo is located?

The Magic House, St. Louis Children's Museum:

Let your child's imagination run wild at The Magic House, a hands-on children's museum that offers interactive exhibits designed to inspire creativity and learning. From a make-believe town to a construction zone and a waterworks area, there are endless opportunities for kids to play, explore, and learn through play. The museum also hosts special events and workshops, ensuring there's always something new to discover.

Forest Park:

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse yourself in nature at Forest Park. As one of the largest urban parks in the United States, it offers a wide range of activities for families. You can visit the St. Louis Science Center, where kids can engage in interactive exhibits and explore the planetarium. Or maybe you want to enjoy a paddleboat ride on the park's picturesque lake or rent bicycles to explore the numerous trails. For some cultural enrichment, the park is also home to the St. Louis Art Museum and the Missouri History Museum.

BallPark Village - Home of the St. Louis Cardinals:

If you're up for a professional baseball game, Ballpark Village offers an opportunity for kids of all ages. Watch the game from inside Busch Stadium or you can sit in the Ballpark Village and watch the game on the jumbo TV's. If you're kids need to run off some energy, there's an outdoor area where the kids can play and you can still watch the game on the jumbotron!

St. Louis is a destination that blends history, culture, and family-friendly attractions, making it a perfect choice for a place to spend a few days vacation with kids. The city's commitment to providing interactive and educational experiences ensures that your family will leave with cherished memories and a sense of wonder.
